Epping Jong Ga @ Epping

Unlike the Jonga Jip in Eastwood, this cozy restaurant is smaller and quieter, but just as friendly. I liked how it’s not as crowded and boisterous like Eastwood, so the atmosphere here is what I prefer.

Onto the food!

Their menu boasts dishes either from BBQ or non-BBQ sections. However, since we were going to have steak for dinner, I didn’t choose to have Korean BBQ.

So, I opted for beef bibimbap whilst the rest ordered warm soups: beef intestine stew in stone pot,  fish roe soup and spicy tofu soup. Also, how can we eat unless we order seafood pancake?!?!?!

The wait wasn’t long but it wasn’t short either. The side dishes took a while to come out but I’m glad that all the food came out at the same time.

I forgot to take a photo and realized it after I mixed everything. But at least you can see the ingredients 😊

Honestly, I was a bit disappointed with the bibimbap as it lacked flavour but the fact that it was stone-pot and the rice was sticking to the bottom was YUMMMY (love that charcoal-y flavour from the rice – like paella).

Seafood Pancake

The seafood pancake was crispy!!!! YAY!!!! And definitely does not lack in flavour!

I have not tried the soups but from the look on their faces, they were well-fed 🙂

Overall, a good place to eat in Epping and is very cozy for the current winter months.
